The Unruly Dog; Boisterous and hard to manage
Sometimes
referred to as dominance. Boisterousness, pushy, in the way,
always tripping
you up and in your face; these are the words people use to
describe this type of dog. In fact these dogs are akin to
children who have not had a consistent education and discipline
system taught at a young age. Neither of them understands
our interpretation in our world of right from wrong except
that you can explain to a child what you want. Dogs, on the
other hand, live for the moment and explanations are just
a waste of breath. In a way unruly dogs live in a vague world
where all the signals of communication between owner and
dog are blurred.
This would not be the case in the wild -
wolves are exact in their behaviour and there are few misunderstandings
hence the pack runs reasonably smooth - unlike the surrogate
human pack in which these type of dogs reside dogs reside.
These
dogs can exhibit some or all of the following behaviour's
and thereby lead their owners in many ways. In addition,
they are often more inclined to pull on the lead or to drag
the owner in the park from one dog to the next or one sniff
to another and curiously, when doing this, never turn their
head to view their owners reactions because they don’t
feel the need to do so, even though their owners are either
tugging back on the lead or shouting all sorts of supposed
commands at them. These owners are nothing more than background
noise to a dominant dog. These dogs will often dive through
doorways first and be the first to get into or out of the
car without waiting for a cue from the owner.
Often in consultation, these dogs amply demonstrate
their array of attention gathering and their uncontrollable
manner.
