Walking on a lead

The bane of most people’s life is dog’s, especially large ones dragging them to and fro. Of course in an ideal world where every dog was trained from six weeks of age and people spent full time on their dog’s education including teaching it not to pull then theoretically at least there would be few problems. Of course a casual observer near any park will see the majority of dogs pulling their unwilling owners along.

Beside recall, heel training is the most common problem presented to a dog trainer or behaviour practitioner. 95% of all dogs brought to the centre which pull on the lead, have attended a dog training class, moreover the majority have been given a certificate of competence by the club even though the dogs pull.
