The Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour & Training
There's something special about attending a CIDBT workshop session. Firstly, CIDBT hold them at their new purpose constructed Institute in Cambridgeshire which is a great place to go anyway but it's the immediate sense of expertise and professionalism that makes students relax and enjoy learning.
The new degree programme is quite unique, in that it is the re first HE , HE Diploma & BA hons Degree that is work based learning accredited by Middlesex University who also accredits the Police Degrees. A dog trainer or other canine professional can use their acquired knowledge to obtain extra credits towards any qualification we offer. This is a first in Britain and was brought about by Colin Tennant & Charles Clarricoates at the CIDBT with the help of Professor Andrew Thomas.
Presently we have Police dog handlers, veterinary professionals, breeders, and from other dog training disciplines enrolled. Our success may appear remarkable in such a short space of time but it is simply meeting a professional need in a professional manner and the whole team's approach is focused on getting the best out of their candidates.
The courses are the first that offer a high level of practical workshops which all the candidates enjoy and is the high point of their course. Theory cannot replace observing experts in action and that is our mantra.
We have the first web site in Britain that allows prospective candidates to watch films of the current courses, candidate feed back live and the prospective candidates can view the institute before committing to a course this has been most popular with our new people from the dog world.
The CIDBT is setting the future for excellence in future dog education.
